Beverages that contain alcohol. Medicine and other items with very small levels of alcohol will be accepted.

Weapons, firearms, explosives and ammunition. Exclusions also apply to replicas, imitations and blank firing pistols.

Poisons, toxic liquids, solids or gases. Exclusions also apply to substances that are liable to cause death or injury if swallowed, inhaled or by skin contact, including arsenic, cyanide, fluorine, rat poison.

Flammable liquids, solids or gases. Exclusions also apply to petroleum, lighter fluid, cigarette lighters, culinary foaming devices and soda stream.

Substances or articles that can pose a hazard to the health and safety of people or may cause damage to property or the environment (in the event of a leak or spillage). This will include all items specified in the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods.

Waste, dirt, filth including household waste. Soil samples used for research are permitted provided they are packaged so that any spillage will be contained in the outer packaging.

Human and animal remains (including ashes).

Bank notes or coins (those currently in use), credit or debit cards. Uncrossed postal orders which do not state to whom they are to be paid. Cheques or dividend warrants which are uncrossed and made payable to the bearer. Exclusions also apply to all counterfeit currency and counterfeit stamps.

Electronic devices sent with or connected to lithium batteries which exceed 20Wh per cell or 100Wh per battery, and/or batteries where the lithium content exceeds 1g per cell or 2g per battery. Exclusions also apply to spillable alkaline batteries (such as car batteries), used alkaline metal, nickel metal hybride (NiMH), nickel cadmium (NiCd), zinc-air batteries, and damaged batteries of any type.

Pornography of all kind, or in any format (print, video etc.).

Artwork, Works of Art, antiques or any such item which has an exceedingly high market value.
